68 degrees...We had to go outside!

It was 68 degrees, so we headed out after church. We went to Cotton Mill and had a lot of fun walking around and playing in the sand at the bottom of the empty pond. I was a great day!

Our first play!

We got the blessing of being included in the free performance of Imago Zoo Zoo at the Merryman Performing Arts Center. The kids loved it. They invited the homeschoolers to participate. This is V with a couple of her homeschool friends we met at the park last summer. It was a lot of fun.
P was not in the mood to smile for the camera at all, little stinker. He had to leave the house wearing his superhero cape though. Whenever he sees this picture he says "There's your grumpy boy."

We haven't done a Homeschool update in a while...

Well, the weather has turned cold enough that the fun practice we can do outside isn't a possibility, so...

We brought the spelling hopscotch inside with some painting tape. V likes doing this a lot.

I LOVE my new pictures!

We had the kids pictures taken for school. The homeschool group out here, one of the sons of a family, takes pictures for $10. I LOVE my new pictures. I was finally able to pick them up today and get them on the wall. They look amazing with our new family picture. The picture of P shows his personality so much! The picture of V just proves how amazingly gorgeous she is. Love my new pictures!

Starting the New Year Right?

We had 3 near choking accidents with V last year: a Lego lodged in her throat, I had do a modified Heimlich to knock it out, a breathed in piece of balloon and a jewel that was stuck in her throat.

Well, we had to start the new year out right, or wrong which ever. P got the hand of his Lego guy stuck in his nose. Thankfully I was able to get him to blow his nose enough to bring it close so I could pull it out with tweezers. I really didn't want the new year to start with an emergency trip.
