Imagination at its finest!
I LOVE this creative little girl! She comes up with the most amazing costumes from paper. In the picture she is a snow woman. The other day she came out with something similar, but she was a turtle. She keeps things fun. I am so glad that she can be so creative. No TV has been good at fostering her imagination.

A Wedding
Update March thru May
Look at this, two updates in one month. Please don't pass out. Just catching up on the spring and summer.
I need to get some dress ups for P soon. He loves putting on V's stuff, and daddy just doesn't like it. :) He looks pretty cute though!

P loves babies. He always wants to hold them. He still wants to hold this one even though the baby out weighs him now.

P is getting really good at making messes. He love yogurt, but obviously it is fun to put it in other places too. We had a few weeks there where he was getting a couple baths a day.

This is daddy's new form of entertainment. He was playing Wack-a-mole with the kids. They were having a blast so I guess I can't complain too much!

Random Fun
Kearney Children's Museum
We had fun exploring the Kearney Children's Museum. It is fairly new. I guess until recently it consisted of a single room. It is a lot smaller than Omaha or Lincoln, but it is a lot of fun still. We really like it. It has a road track that circles the entire area and they have a bunch of different cozy coop cars that the kids can ride around in. I think P's favorite was the Fire Engine. It still is. I think V makes an adorable fire woman.

P couldn't get enough driving in. He loves to be behind the wheel of that red truck!

They have a dinosaur bone dig area. they had fun make an absolute mess. They still had the stuff stuck to them when we got home.

V loved the veterinarian room. She loves animals and taking care of them was fun to pretend.
P was fascinated with the toy trains and the moving model trains. He can still spend forever watching them. I will have to have my dad get his out next time we are in Utah.

First Daddy Daughter Date in Kearney
Daddy took V to The Big Apple in Kearney. It is a bowling alley/arcade type place. They have a thing called Ballocity. It is a ball area similar to the one in the Omaha Children's Museum, except this one has cannons and slides and is much more fun. They had fun pummeling each other. I guess a bunch of kids ganged up on Daddy too!
This is their super fast slide. It kind of scared V at first and I think she got a burn too.
V manning the cannon...
Isn't she so adorable!

Visiting Parks
As soon as the weather warmed up a little this spring we took to the parks. Kearney has 17 parks. We were determined to visit all of them. We had a lot of fun. After the nasty, windy, cold winter we were overjoyed to be outside again.
This is Harmon park. It is beautiful in the summer when the ponds are full and the flowers are in bloom. They even a have a little tower that you can climb up. It almost feels enchanting.
This is Harvey park. It is an older one in an older part of town, but the kids liked playing on the old fashioned type toys as much as the new playgrounds.

P loves the roller slide at Yanney park. This is a newer park near our house. We have spent many hours there, especially since they have a splash pad and a bike trail. We biked there all summer.
