Mommy

Here is to my wife, the Mother of my children. How lucky we are to have you in our lives, you put up with a lot and give the much more love in return.

For those who don't know my wife here is a little of what she does for us in the Wimpey house:

  • She is head Chef

  • She is the head nurse

  • Teacher and Principal

  • She manages the Janitorial staff (made of Victoria and myself)

  • and so on...

She helps us move forward when we have had enough, or are feeling tired. She is the most giving caring person in the world that I know. If I could give her all it still wouldn't be enough. I couldn't ask for a better woman to be my wife and mother of my children. I am so blessed to have her. I don't know who or what I would be with out her. Victoria and I love you.

Movies

I have to share. I used to be so picky about movies. I have kind of let down my guard a bit about the movies I let V watch. Well, Grandma & Grandpa bought her Pinocchio for Easter. I wouldn't let her watch it until we could watch it as a family. The entire time she kept turning and looking at me with this look I have never seen before. She was really worried about Pinocchio at the end when it appeared he was dead. We read in the scriptures about death all the time so I didn't think this would be much different. Well, at 12:30 this morning she woke up screaming for me. I went into comfort her and it took her a while to calm herself enough to tell me she didn't want me to die and then said she didn't want to die. I was heart broken. I had to stay with her for 15 minutes just rocking her to calm her down enough to go back to sleep. Well, I plan on being a little more picky again. Nightmares are hard enough on a regular day, but one that is brought on by a movie that I could have kept her from watching is another story. I just felt terrible.

I am back! Utah trip

Okay, so I have been out of it for some time. I also went on a trip to Utah. I can make more excuses, but I am sure you don't want to hear it all. :) Well here is my update for the last who knows how long.

After Papa picked us up at the airport we drove past the Oquir Mountain Temple. It is still being built. It is nice to see one that is a little different than the others in the area.

My family seemed to be so busy this time while we were in Utah. We weren't able to play with cousins as much as V would have liked. Papa took us to the Sandy Aquarium one afternoon. It was a fun place. It is one of a kind in that part of Utah. They cover not only Utah's water lands and fish, but other countries as well.
V took the picture of the frogs. She is getting pretty good!

We did get to go to Thanksgiving Point with the cousins. It was a lot of fun. All the flowers seemed to bloom sooner than they did here in Nebraska. It was really pretty. The kids had a lot of fun.

Of course it was a blast hunting eggs at Papa's house. His egg hunts are the best. The eggs never have candy. He puts money in them. Sometimes penny's sometimes, nickles and dimes. The kids love it. Who cares about candy!
Papa took us to the lake to feed the ducks. Unfortunately the ducks were not very hungry. V didn't seem to notice, she just wanted to keep throwing bread to them.
We went and walked on our favorite lake trail. There were so many frogs croaking this time. The lake water was quite high again. It was a nice walk. Papa and V had fun fighting each other with the reeds. She loved to chase after use and the the "feathers" all over us.
We decided to stop at Cabela's and look at the animals and the fish. That Cabela's has so much more than the one here. It was fun.

We even got to feed the fish!

V had to try out all the swings. She couldn't pass one without sitting in it.
Papa found his chair and V found hers. Papa got her the cute pink chair for her birthday. She carried that thing to register and all the way out to the car. She loves it. It is her chair of choice now. Thanks Papa!
This is what awaited us one morning. We decided to stop at the temple and V begged to get out. I let her tromp through the snow a bit. It was a heavy wet snow. That night it snowed more. We got at least 8-10 inches at my dad's house. He lost one of his lilac bushes. It was melted before we knew it though.
This is another V picture. She seems to find the most random shots, but they turn out fun!

V practiced being a big sister holding my cousins cute little girl! She is wanting a baby in the house so bad. She is so cute!
