Please welcome our beautiful son P. He was born at 4:45 PM Friday July 24th, 2009 (Pioneer Day)!!! 8lbs 1oz, 22 inches long, 15 inch head. He gave mommy a fight she pushed and pushed for three hours and the little guy wouldn't budge; she had to have a C-Section. She is doing really well and hopfully mommy and P will be home Sunday!

A baby update

For all of you that keep checking back to see if I have had the baby, I have not. Today he is 14 days over due and if I do not go into labor tonight I will be induced Thursday morning. I am not too happy about the way things are going, but I am trying to have faith that things will turn out for the best. Thank you all who have been praying for me. I appreciate it. We will post with more exciting news soon.

V's Turn

I figured I needed to make something special for V so she wouldn't feel left out when P comes. I made her the shirt and a cute stuffed bunny. They will be in her bag as a surprise while mommy & daddy are at the hospital. I think they turned out pretty good.

Creative Energies

So I decided to make some gifts for babies coming and for my own son. I found the idea for these monsters and robots online. I think my versions turned out pretty darn cute. A little time consuming, but not bad. It helped satisfy my need to create lately.

You Gotta Love Kids!

V loves to pretend that she is a different animal all the time. This is one Sunday morning. She decided it would be fun to pretend to be a doggy. She is so silly. I love that I can catch these things on video now.

The other day I made a pot of my dads yummy black bean soup. V is so picky that it is almost impossible to get her to try things. Well, I scooped out a few of the beans (you can see in the picture below) and put them in a bowl so there was little sauce and no meat or onions. She came over to the table after crying about trying something new and her first comment was "It looks like doggy poop!" We laughed so hard that I think it lightened the mood and we were able to get her to eat the bowl of beans. I guess humor is more beneficial than I thought! :)
