Visiting Parks

As soon as the weather warmed up a little this spring we took to the parks. Kearney has 17 parks. We were determined to visit all of them. We had a lot of fun. After the nasty, windy, cold winter we were overjoyed to be outside again.

This is Harmon park. It is beautiful in the summer when the ponds are full and the flowers are in bloom. They even a have a little tower that you can climb up. It almost feels enchanting.

This is Harvey park. It is an older one in an older part of town, but the kids liked playing on the old fashioned type toys as much as the new playgrounds.

P loves the roller slide at Yanney park. This is a newer park near our house. We have spent many hours there, especially since they have a splash pad and a bike trail. We biked there all summer.

V loves pretending to be a spider. P loves this toy now too. He asks to be a bug and I put him up in the ring.

Daddy came with us to Yanney park the first time we visited it this spring. We had so much fun!

This is the tower in Yanney park. It is a lot of fun to climb and gives an amazing view of the area. It is so flat here you can see forever!
